LED (Light Emitting Diode), a solid-state semiconductor device that converts electricity directly into light. The “heart” of an LED is a semiconductor slice with one end attached to a holder, the negative terminal connected to the power supply, and the other end connected to the positive pole of the power supply, so that the entire slice is encapsulated by epoxy resin. The semiconductor slice consists of two parts, one part is a P-type semiconductor, in which the hole dominates, and the other end is an N-type semiconductor, which is mainly electrons here. When the two semiconductors are connected, a P-N junction is formed between them. When a current is applied to the slice through the wire, the electrons are pushed to the P region. In the P region, the electrons recombine with the holes, and then the energy is emitted in the form of photons. This is the principle of LED illumination, and its internal structure.


LED display is a Video Screen where the image is formed by means of LEDs. The main point is the LED displays is no “loop” effect. In addition, the number of on-off sets does not affect their performance. What is more, under direct sunlight on LED Billboards, the images on LED displays are much nice in terms of contrast and viewing angle than on other types of displays.

LED modules are essential tools from which LED displays are assembled. All LED displays are self-possessed of individual modules. The larger the LED display, the more modules you will need for it.

Each producer has its own standard size for LED panels, but if necessary, you can customize the size according to your own needs but according to modules sizes.


The LED Displays are made-up of by combining LED Modules, Power supply, Control Cards, Cabinet and Wiring. Below are types for LED Modules for Indoor/Outdoor LED Display screens.



These LED are composed of three colors, Red Green Blue. Each group form one pixel, these colors forms an entire colors spectrum. RGB Displays are much brighter and recommended to use for Outdoor Displays like Outdoor digital screen billboards, Outdoor Media screens, Outdoor Perimeter LED Display, Outdoor Destination LED Display, Outdoor Store signs, Outdoor Digital Signage advertisements.


SMD (Surface Mount Diode)

This is the second type called SMD (Surface Mount Diode), it is a combination of three lights into one light cell, that form one Pixel. One pixel identifies the whole picture structure. Its being called flat surface and the modules containing every pixel are different according to diferrent sizes between pixels. Before SMD were preferred to use Indoor and RGB for Outdoor, but now the technology has been updated and SMD are also used for Outdoor with High resolution and the resolution can be adjusted upon demanded place and time.



The brighter the lamp, the higher the wattage. Everyone likes the high-brightness lamps, and the arrival of the LED lighting era have changed the traditional method of selecting lamps. When choosing lamps, it is necessary to pay attention not only to the brightness of the lamps, but also to the characteristics of the LED lamps like (King light, KNLight, Nationstar). Whether energy saving and environmental protection. At the same time, according to the size of the Indoor/Outdoor space.

The led brightness is measured by number of nits (cd / m2), to ensure decent display operations for Indoor 700 nits to 900 nits are better. However, the LED display for Outdoor you will need to use minimum 2000 nits and Maximum 7500 nits. For Message display boards that are used in front of Sunlight and must need to readable during sunlight, the display brightness should have minimum 6000 nits.


In display market, the word “Pixel Pitch” is used instead of “Display Resolution”. A Pixel pitch is called the distance between two neighboring pixels. The higher screen resolution the lower will be the Pixel pitch, these Pixels are placing much closer to each other. Therefore, using higher brightness the screen is more comfortable even from a shorter distance.

To denote Pixel Pitch we use “P”. Next to it, there is a figure digit that indicates the distance between centers. Suppose, we take P5 as the pixel pitch is 5mm. The figure digit plays an important role while selecting the Pixel pitch because it depends on your cost, location, viewing distance. Example, if we take P10 then the best viewing distance is 9 meters. If you come closer the image will not be clearer.

The main maintenance word means in LED Display world, that how to access the LED Spare parts of the LED Display like Modules, Power Supply, Control Cards, Cables etc. There are two types of maintenance Front Maintenance and Back Maintenance.

Front Maintenance LED Displays are expansive and contains complex design, such LED Display’s are installed closer to the wall.

Back Maintenance LED Displays are so called standard displays, and are best to use where constant access to rear side of the display.


All LED display remembers the current display information when it’s shutdown. To update the information, you need to install the software into your computer to access the LED Display through USB Flash, Ethernet Cable Rj45, Wireless device WIFI, 4G Mobile Network or remote access through cloud access.

The Software, can be updated with the time, date, brightness adjustment, weather and humidity control.
